You are not authorized to delete instance ORG-Data-Token

KCP-240

Summary

A Queue Processor is configured to delete a data record as part of activity steps. However, the process fails as the Queue Processor does not have access to delete the data instance.

Error Messages

You are not authorized to delete instance ORG-Data-Token <instance id>

Steps to Reproduce

  1. Run the flow that saves the token in the data table for temporary use
  2. Execute the Queue-For-Processing step
  3. Wait for the Queue Processor to process the queue item

Root Cause

An issue in the custom application code or rules. The Queue-For-Processing step does not specify Alternate access group. Hence, the system uses the access group of the operator en-queueing the message. In this case, the operator's access group does not have access to delete the ORG-Data-Token instance.

Resolution

Perform the following local-change:
Specify an access group that has access to delete the ORG-Data-Token instance as the Alternate access group in the Queue-For-Processing activity step. The Queue Processor uses this access group during the execution.
