ACORD, the Association for Cooperative Operations Research and Development, is a global nonprofit insurance association that develops and promotes standards for the insurance industry. See www.acord.org.

Many ACORD standards are defined through XML documents. Using XML Parse rules, Process Commander can support the development of applications for insurers that accept and ACORD (180) standard formats for policy issuance, renewal, cancellation, amendments, and so on.
