For a requestor, an application RuleSet is a RuleSet that appears in any of the following form fields:

• On the General tab of the application rule referenced in the access group for a requestor (when the current work pool is part of this application)
• (Recursively) On theGeneraltab of a 'parent' application rule, if the Include Parent check box on theGeneraltab of a 'child' application is checked.
• In the Local Customization field on the Settings tab of the access group

This is a collection of RuleSets, not a collection of RuleSet versions. The set of application RuleSets determines which rules are presented by the Application Explorer tool, Application Inventory tool, Application Preflight tool and the Application Documentation tool. This list is used only by developer tools; it is not relevant to run-time execution of the application.

From the Developer portal, click your name (in the navigation panel) to see the profile display. Locate the list labelled Application RuleSets.

In some situations, your application RuleSets may include rules that you do not consider part of the application, or may exclude others you expect.

• The application RuleSets does not include your private RuleSet, which contains rules checked out to you
• The application RuleSet does not include rules in RuleSets listed in the Production RuleSets array of the Access tab.
• Rules from RuleSet versions listed in the Requestor Type data instance, Organization data instance, or Division data instance are not included unless these RuleSets also appear in the application rule.

Select Edit > My Profile > Application to open your current application rule.

An operator's full RuleSet list  — in contrast to the Application RuleSets list — is an ordered list of RuleSet versions — not RuleSets. Your RuleSet list often contains additional RuleSets not present on the Application RuleSets list.
