A keyboard shortcut is a multikey option that performs an
operation that otherwise requires a mouse action. For example,
by default the CTRL
+ T
key
combination starts the Tracer tool.
Select Edit > Preferences to extend or override the default keyboard shortcuts for the Developer portal.
For application users, keyboard shortcuts differ from the Developer portal versions. For example, the ALT+F key combination moves focus to the first input field on a form. See Pega Developer Network article PRKB-25264 How to change the default home keyboard shortcut.
You can also use a shortcut key to execute a button, without requiring use of the mouse.
Shortcut keys are sometimes called "hot keys".
A shortcut is a saved URL value that simplifies testing and retesting activities and reports in your application. Using such shortcuts, you can avoid the need to repeatedly enter parameter values through typing or pasting.
You can define up to 1,000 personal shortcuts, assign memorable names to them, and organize them into categories.
An icon identifies each shortcut in the View > My Shortcuts menu:
To access the Shortcuts Manager, select View > My Shortcuts > Organize Shortcuts...
