About Function Alias rules

A function alias rule has two key parts: a class and purpose.

Applies To

SmartPromptSelect a class. Many function alias rules use @baseclass.

Purpose

Enter a purpose. Begin the name with a letter and use only alphanumeric, ampersand, and dash characters.

Alias Type

Select an alias type. Choose between Compare Two Values, Is Property Equals To, Date within Date Range, or Other.

  • Compare two values - Creates a function alias that uses the compareTwoValues() function.
  • Is Property Equals To - Creates a function alias that uses the compareTwoValues() function with the parameters pre-populated with the selected property and the “equals” operator.
  • Date within Date Range - Creates a function alias that uses the dateIsInRange() function.
  • Other - Creates a normal function alias.

If you don’t want to create an alias for any of these particular functions, accept the default value of Other.
