Connect Java rules
Completing the New or Save As form

A Connect Java rule has two key parts:

Field	Description
Type	Select Connect Java from the Integration-Connectors category.
Applies To	Enter the class to which this Connect Java rule applies.
Service Name	Enter a unique name for this rule, a valid identifier. Ordinarily, use the name of the method being called.  See  Entering valid identifiers.

Rule resolution

When searching for Connect Java rules, the system:

• Filters candidate rules based on a requestor's RuleSet list of RuleSets and versions
• Searches through ancestor classes in the class hierarchy for candidates when no matching rule is found in the starting class

Time-qualified and circumstance-qualified rule resolution features are not available for Connect Java rules.
