Edit Validate rules
Completing the New or Save As form

An Edit Validate rule has a single key part:

Field	Description
Type	Select Edit Validate from the Technical category.
Edit Validate Name	Give this rule a name that is a valid identifier, not more than 64 characters long. See How to enter identifiers.

Rule resolution

When searching for edit validate rules, the system:

• Filters candidate rules based on a requestor's RuleSet list of RuleSets and versions
• Finds circumstance-qualified rules that override base rules
• Finds time-qualified rules that override base rules

The class hierarchy is not relevant to rule resolution of edit validate rules.
