A correspondence rule has three key parts.

Identify the class of the page that is to be the basis for stream generation of correspondence from this rule. Typically, this is a class derived from the Work- base class. If this stream has no associated page and is to be referenced only with the <pega:include ..>JSP tag in other correspondence rules, don't create a Correspondence rule. Create a correspondence fragment (Rule-Corr-Fragment rule type) rather than a correspondence rule (Rule-Obj-Corr rule type). The classes you can enter here may depend on the RuleSet you select. On the Advanced tab of the Class form, a class rule may limit rules applying to that class to belong to one of an explicit list of RuleSets. |
Correspondence Name |
Type a name for this rule. Begin the name with a letter and follow the rules for an identifier. See How to enter identifiers. |
Correspondence Type |
Identify a correspondence type, the name of a Rule-CorrType rule, to indicate the medium by which this correspondence is to be sent, such as Email or Letter. |
