About Service BPEL rules

Before you can create a BPEL service rule, create the SOAP service and connector rules that implement the operations for the BPEL process.

A BPEL service rule has two key parts: service package and service class. These keys identify the SOAP service and connector rules for the BPEL service rule.

Field

Description

Type Select Service BPEL from the Integration-Services category.
Service Package SmartPromptService package and service class identify the SOAP service rules to be included in the BPEL service. Select the service package of the appropriate SOAP service rules.
Service Class (Port Type)

SmartPromptEnter the service class of the SOAP service rules for the BPEL service. The service class field also identifies the SOAP connector rules for the BPEL service: SOAP connectors for which the Namespace field contains the same value as the one specified in this field are included in the BPEL service.

Enter a Service Class value that is a valid Java identifier. See How to enter an identifier.

For general information about the New form, see Completing the new rule dialog box. For general information on the Save As form, see How to enter rule keys using Save As.

Rule resolution

When searching for a Service BPEL rule, the system filters candidate rules based on a requestor's RuleSet list of RuleSets and versions.

Circumstance-qualified and time-qualified resolution features are not available for Service BPEL rules. The class hierarchy is not relevant to Service BPEL rule resolution.
