About the Scan Station |
Workstations running on Microsoft Windows 2000 can employ the Scan Station tool to convert paper documents into an electronic image associated with a new work object. The tool works with any TWAIN-compliant scanner equipped with Automatic Document Feeder (ADF) hardware and uses ActiveX controls licensed from Kodak. The Scan Station link appears in the navigation panel of the Process Work portal (for work managers). This tool is mainly used when scanning a large number of documents in a single work session.
Unless batch scanning is required, it is recommended that you use the a flow action rule Work-.AttachFromScanner and the Image Viewer tool. This tool is accessible to both users and managers, and runs on Microsoft XP workstations. See About the Image Viewer tool.
This scenario shows one way to use the Scan Station:
Use these fields to control the scanner and to label the scanner results within Process Commander.
