About Function Alias rules

Create a function alias rule by selecting Function Alias from the Technical category.

A function alias rule has two key parts, a class and a purpose:

Purpose

Enter a purpose. Begin the name with a letter and use only alphanumeric, ampersand, and dash characters.

In three special cases, for convenience in this form you can use the Alias Type field to specify the particular function for which you are creating this function alias. Choose between Compare Two Values, Is Property Equals To, and Date within Date Range: GRP-389

If you are not creating a function alias for any of these particular functions, accept the default value of Other as the alias type.
