A production RuleSet is a RuleSet that has the Type field set to Standard
(on the Category tab of the RuleSet form) and that typically has at least one open (not secured) RuleSet Version.
Developers or others who are allowed to create, update or delete rules can work with the production RuleSets listed on the Layout tab of their access group instance.
The term "production" is not a permanent characteristic of the RuleSet nor the rules in the RuleSet, rather how the RuleSet is used at a specific time. The RuleSet Versions identified by ALPHA:01-02 may be considered a production RuleSet if ALPHA:01-02-07 is not secured, but cannot be a production RuleSet if all versions 01-02-01 through 01-02-07 (and any higher versions) are locked.
Production RuleSets are listed on the General tab of an application rule and on the Layout tab of the Access Group form.
