Flow form — Editing in VisioEvery flow has a single Start shape (
) with no incoming connectors. This marks the first shape of every execution of the flow.
When you create a flow, the Start shape is already present. You rarely need to alter the Start Properties panel. You can enter or revise these fields:

Optional. Select the name of the application that you want to link to the shape. The value of this field is referenced with the flow diagram in application documents.If this flow is a screen flow, special rules apply. See Flow Rules — Editing in Visio — Creating and Editing a Screen Flow.
(To edit these shape properties after you save the Flow form, open the Diagram tab, right-click the shape, and select the Edit tab on the pop-up window.)
