Note

Although developers can work directly with question page rule forms, Pega recommends creating and managing question pages in the context surveys that deploy them, through the My Surveys tab on the Survey Management landing page.

Access the landing page by selecting > Survey Management > My Surveys.

If you wish to use the rule form directly right-click Question Page in the Survey class and select New. In the form that appears, provide the following information:

Field	Description
Applies To	Select a class that this question page applies to from the options provided. The classes you can select here may depend on the RuleSet you select. On the Restrictions tab of the Class form, a class rule may limit rules applying to that class to belong to one of an explicit list of RuleSets.
Group Name	Enter a name that is a valid Java identifier. Begin the name with a letter, and use only letters, digits, and the dash character. See How to enter a Java identifier.

Select a RuleSet and Version in which to save the question page; then click Create.

Rule Resolution

Full rule resolution applies to question page rules. When searching for question page rules, the system:

• Filters candidate rules based on a requestor's RuleSet list of RuleSets and versions
• Searches through ancestor classes in the class hierarchy for candidates when no matching rule is found in the starting class
• Finds circumstance-qualified rules that override base rules
• Finds time-qualified rules that override base rules
