Atomic use case

An atomic specification is a smaller, more granular version of a traditional UML use case. In PRPC applications, an atomic specification is associated with a single process step (or sometimes a series of steps in a screen flow). An atomic specification:

• has a single actor
• is triggered by a single type of event
• does not change ownership as during processing
• provides detailed information to developers

In PRPC releases before V6.2 SP2, specifications were known as use cases.
