Java Naming and Directory Interface (JNDI)

Part of Sun Microsystems' Java EE platform of tools, standards, and components, the Java Naming & Directory Interface® (JNDI) provides applications with a unified interface to multiple naming and directory services in the enterprise.

Instances of the Data-Admin-Connect-JNDIServer class identify JNDI servers in PRPC. PRPC uses JNDI calls in:

• LDAP authentication interfaces
• Authentication services
• EJB connectors
• JMS services and connectors
