Configuring a dynamic view

You can configure the dynamic views that are associated with each case type in your application. By changing the default fields in these views, you can customize the forms that users access when they create, update, or review a case.

  1. In the explorer panel of Designer Studio, click Cases and then click the name of a case type.

  2. Click the Views tab and then click a view that displays the Dynamic view icon.

  3. If this is the first time that you are configuring the dynamic view, click Edit this view to open the editor for the view.

  4. Update the view by adding, removing, or reordering fields that users interact with at run time.

Some field types, such as field groups and data references, are not displayed because they are incompatible with dynamic views.

You cannot change the name, type, or configuration of a field because they are read only.

  5. Click Done.
