Verifying Pega 7 settings required to build a mobile app
Before you build a mobile app, several system-wide settings need to be set. These settings are configured at the system configuration phase by the Pega 7 Platform administrator in your organization. If they are not configured, contact the administrator to verify that your organization has been licensed to use the Pega Mobile Client app building feature.
Caution: Do not modify these settings unless Pegasystems Global Customer Support has instructed you to do so.
To verify the build server configuration settings:
- Copy each of the instance IDs that are mentioned below, paste them in the search field in your Designer Studio screen, and press Enter.
- When the search engine returns the results, click a link to display the rule details.
The following system-wide settings must be set:
- Authentication profile – The MobileBuildServerAuthentication rule contains settings required to authenticate the Pega 7 Platform in the build server. Look for the MobileBuildServerAuthentication instance ID and verify if the following parameters are set:
User Name
– Set it when the license for the build server has been obtained.Password
– It is an API token that is generated in the build server for the specified user name.Preemptive Authentication
– It ensures interoperability with trusted sites and applications.
