Rule checkout to a branch
You can check out a rule to a branch for an application that has branches.
When you check the rule out to a branch, the system performs the following steps:

            - It saves a copy of the rule into a branch ruleset.

            - It creates a copy of the rule in your personal ruleset.

            - It marks the rule in the branch ruleset as checked out.

The Check out to branch menu option appears when all of the following criteria is met:

            - The rule belongs to a ruleset that has the checkouts enabled.

            - For this operator, the Allow rule check out check box on the Security tab of the Operator ID form is selected.

            - The rule is not locked by another user or in a locked ruleset. A locked rule displays a padlock next to the Check out button. Hover the mouse pointer over the icon to see the reason it is locked.

            - There is a branch defined in the current application.
