Configuring the sentiment analysis settings

Configure the sentiment analysis by identifying the sentiment model and the lexicon that you want to use in the analysis.

  1. Open an instance of the Text Analyzer Rule and click the Select Analysis tab.
  2. In the Sentiment section, select the Enable sentiment check box.
  3. In the Lexicon field, press the Down Arrow key to specify the lexicon that you want to use. You can use the default pySentimentLexicon. Sentiment lexicons contain words that are associated with a specific type of sentiment (for example, the word good has positive sentiment).
  4. In the Sentiment model field, press the Down Arrow key to specify the sentiment model that you want to use. You can use the default model pySentimentModels. Sentiment models can determine the sentiment of phrases, sentences, paragraphs, and so on (for example, the phrase This burger isn't bad at all! has positive sentiment). You can create sentiment analysis models on the Text Analytics landing page.
  5. Click Save.
