Processes in a stage

A process in a stage is sequence of steps that users follow to move a case closer to resolution. By using processes, you can provide a more granular life cycle for a case type.

You can define the following types of processes: sequential, parallel, and supporting. To decide which type of process to use, consider what work is accomplished when the process runs, how the process fits into the sequence of other processes in the stage, and who performs the steps in the process.

If a process requires a complex configuration, such as branching or advanced steps, you can update the underlying flow diagram for the process. This technique is sometimes referred to as process modeling.
