Previewing an application in the Legacy New Application wizard

On the Application preview form of the Legacy New Application wizard, you can review the class structure that will be generated, based on the values that you provided on each form of the wizard.

To preview an application:

  1. On the Data types form of the wizard, click Preview.

  2. Click a class layer to display a list of subcategories.

The number of class layers is determined by the application structure that you selected on the Application settings form.

  3. Click a subcategory, such as Cases, to review a list of classes that will be created to support it.

Class names that already exist are displayed in italics to indicate that they will not be duplicated by the wizard.

  4. Click Other to display a list of data-instance subcategories.

  5. Click a data-instance subcategory, such as Access Group, to review a list of data instances that will be created to support it.

Data instances that already exist are not duplicated, and are displayed in italics.

  6. Click Close Preview to close the Application preview form and return to the Data types form.

After previewing an application, you can create the application with the current settings or return to a previous step in the wizard to revise your settings.
