Authentication Profile data instances – Completing the Basic tab

Complete the Basic tab to create an authentication profile with basic HTTP authentication credentials.

Field	Description
User name	Required. Enter a valid user name for the scheme. This field also supports the Global Resource Settings syntax (`=PageName.PropertyName`). The default property for this field is pyUserName.
Set password	Click to enter a password that is valid for the user name you provided. This field also supports the Global Resource Settings syntax (`=PageName.PropertyName`). The default property for this field is pyPassword.
Realm	Enter the realm of the user account on the server to which you are connecting.
Host Name	Enter the host name of the server to which the request is being sent.
Preemptive authentication	Select this check box to have the system send the basic authentication request even before the server gives an unauthorized response, thus reducing the overhead of making the connection.
