Managing binning options for symbolic predictors

Generate bins over which you want to distribute the symbols that are not assigned to a category.

1. In the Data analysis step, click a symbolic predictor.
2. Click the Binning tab.
3. Optional: Provide a value (between 0-200) for the most frequent remaining values. This is the number of bins over which you want to distribute the symbols that are not assigned to a category.
4. Optional: Click the Graphical view tab or Tabular view tab to read the data in the graph or table.
5. Optional: If you change the field properties, you can select the Use as default settings option to override the default project settings.
6. Click Submit.
