Displaying a block of text in a question page

You can display a block of read-only text on a question page in a survey. By providing supporting information about the questions in a survey, you can help users provide answers quickly and completely.

  1. Click Designer Studio > Case Management > Survey to open the Survey Management landing page.

  2. Click the name of a survey that has at least one question page defined.

  3. In the question page that contains the block of text, click Add question > Browse all types > Single answer > Info text to open the Add question dialog box.

Although users cannot respond to a block of read-only text in a survey, you must create a question to store the text.

To create text in bulk, add entries to the question template with Answer Mode set to Display.

  4. In the Name field, enter a unique label for the question.

  5. Optional: To change the scope of the question, expand the Context section and provide a different class, ruleset name, or ruleset version.

By default, questions apply to the same class as the survey with which they are associated.

  6. In the Question text field, enter the content for the block of text.

  7. Click Save to close the Add question dialog box.

You can change the position of the block of text by reordering the questions on the question page.

You must purchase a separate license before using survey functionality in your application.
