Adding hover text to a question

You can add hover text to a question in a survey. By separating the question text from supporting information, you can provide assistance to users in a way that maximizes screen space.

  1. Create a section in a class and ruleset that is compatible with your survey, and then configure the section to display text.

For example, you can add a paragraph to a section that defines the different types of medical plans.

For more information about creating sections, see: Presenting content in sections.

  2. Click Designer Studio > Case Management > Survey to open the Survey Management landing page.

  3. Click the name of a survey that has at least one question page defined.

  4. Click Actions > Open to open the underlying survey rule.

  5. On the Question pages tab of the Survey form, click the Open icon next to the question page that contains the question.

  6. On the Questions tab of the Question Page form, click the Open icon next to a question.

  7. On the Advanced tab of the Simple Question or Complex Question form, press the Down Arrow key in the SmartInfo Section field and select the name of your section.

  8. Click Save.

You must purchase a separate license before using survey functionality in your application.
