System data instances

System data instances are occurrences of your Pega Platform system. They are instances of the data-admin-system rule.

Your system can include more than one data-admin-system instance. However, only one is in current use. The data-admin-system instance in current use is identified by the Identification/SystemName value in the prconfig.xml file or in the Dynamic System Settings.

You can specify the production level and environment name of your system data instance, as well as the number of concurrent sessions and lock time-out.
