Complete this tab to configure both Offer and channel constraints along with the reset options for these constraints.
Select how the constraints specified in the Volume Constraint rule should be reset.
Manage each constraint individually below
- Select this option to specify the reset setting for each constraint individually along with its limits.Reset all constraints at once
- Select this option to specify the reset setting globally for all constraints in this Volume Constraint. After selecting this option, select the desired value for the global reset setting.Use the add icon to create a new Offer constraint.
Field |

Enabled? | Select whether this constraint should be enabled. |
Offer |

Reset Interval | Select the reset policy for this constraint. This field is only available if you chose to specify constraint limits individually. |
Minimum Volume | Enter the desired minimum volume for this Offer. |
Maximum Volume | Enter the desired maximum volume for this Offer. |
Remaining | Read only. Represents the volume of this Offer remaining (for the current reset interval). |
Use the add icon to create a new channel constraint.

Remaining | Read only. Represents the remaining volume for this delivery channel (for the current reset interval). |
In order for the constraint optimization engine to properly apply Channel constraints, you must also specify the following property on each Offer in your Campaign's marketing Strategy:
pyChannel – Set this value exactly to the channel you wish to constrain (e.g. Email, SMS, etc.). Use the same case for this value as the Channel value in this Volume Constraint.
Whether constraint limits are reset globally or individually, the following reset frequency options are available:
Manually
- Select this option to manually reset constraint counts via the provided reset button(s). The reset button is only enabled when the Volume Constraint rule is checked in (where applicable).
Each time it is accessed
: Select this option to make the system reset constraint limits each time it applies the Volume Constraint rule. This setting provides the option for constraining the output of an individual Campaign Run.Daily
: Select this option to make the system reset constraint limits the first time they are applied on a particular day.Weekly
: Select this option to make the system reset constraint limits the first time they are applied in a particular week (first day of week = Sunday).Semi-Monthly
: Select this option to make the system reset constraint limits the first time they are applied in a particular semi-monthly period (semi-monthly periods begin on the 1st and 16th days of each month).Monthly
: Select this option to make the system reset constraint limits the first time they are applied in a particular month.Quarterly
: Select this option to make the system reset constraint limits the first time they are applied in a particular quarter (quarters begin on the 1st day of January, April, July, and October of each year).Yearly
: Select this option to make the system reset constraint limits the first time they are applied in a particular year.
