Performing Checklist actions

This page outlines the various actions that you can perform on your Checklist.

Use the Other Actions button in the Checklist header to view the list of available actions. The list of actions present in this menu depends on the status of the Checklist. Click the desired menu action to perform it. Upon doing so, the system will present you with the appropriate fields for that action. While performing an action, you can switch to a different action (if available) via the Other Actions button.

Performing the Add Tasks action

Use this action to add Tasks to your Checklist. Use the Add icon to add a new Task. This launches the Update Task modal dialog. Enter all desired details for the new Task in this dialog.

Description

Task Name Enter a name for this Task.
Start Date Specify the start date for this Task.
Due Date Specify the date when this Task is due.
Owner Autocomplete Specify the owner of this Task.
Description Enter a description for this Task.
Estimated Effort Enter the estimated effort (in hours) for this Task.
Actual Effort Enter the actual effort (in hours) that has been spent on this Task.

After specifying the desired Task information, click OK to add this Task to the list of Tasks in this action. Click Cancel to return to the Add Tasks action window without adding this Task.

The system displays your new Task in the Task list for the action. Repeat the above procedure to add more Tasks to this Checklist. Finally, click Complete to save all new Tasks and associate them to your Checklist.


Performing the Update Checklist Info action

Perform this action to update the following Checklist details:

Description

Checklist Name Required. Enter the name of this Checklist. You can update this name but the new name must still be unique across the system.
Start Date Specify the start date for this Checklist.
Due Date Specify the due date for this Checklist.
Owner Autocomplete Specify the owner of this Checklist.
Description Enter a description for this Checklist.
Associate With Select the desired object with which to associate this Checklist. Choose between Offer and Campaign.
Name Select the name of the associated Offer or Campaign.

After making the necessary updates, click Submit to save your changes onto the Checklist.


Performing the Complete Checklist action

Perform this action to mark your Checklist as completed.

Use the Completion Note text area to enter any notes regarding the Checklist. Enable the Add to notes feed check box to display your note in the Pega Pulse panel in the Checklist display.

Click Submit to complete the Checklist.

Note Completing a Checklist doesn’t complete the individual Tasks on the Checklist. Typically, you should perform the Complete Checklist action when all Tasks in your Checklist are complete.


Performing the Withdraw Checklist action

Perform this action to withdraw your Checklist.

Use the Withdraw Note text area to enter the reason for withdrawing the Checklist. Enable the Add to notes feed check box to display your note in the Pega Pulse panel in the Checklist display.

Click Submit to withdraw the Checklist.

Note Withdrawing a Checklist doesn’t withdraw the individual Tasks in the Checklist.


Performing the Start Checklist action

This action is only available for new Checklists. Perform this action via the links panel. Performing this action marks the Checklist as started and updates its status to the appropriate value.


Performing the Reopen action

This action is only available for completed and withdrawn Checklists. Perform this action via the links panel. Use this action to re-open the Checklist.
