Using the Checklist display

Once you create a Checklist, the system shows the Checklist work object display. Use this display to interact with the Checklist for the remainder of its life cycle. The Checklist display consists of the following components:

Checklist header

The Checklist header displays at the top of the Checklist work object tab and contains the following information:

In addition, the Checklist header also contains the following buttons:

Button

Purpose

Save As Create a new Checklist work object using this Checklist.
Other Actions Provide a list of available actions that you can currently perform on the Checklist. The system updates this list with relevant actions as the Checklist progresses through its life cycle.
X Close the Checklist display.

Checklist Details panel

This panel displays the following information about the Checklist:

Description Description of the Checklist
Associated With Name of the Offer or Campaign associated with this Checklist. Click the name to open the associated object.
Owner Name of the Checklist owner
Percent Complete Completion percent of this Checklist. The system calculates this as the average completion percent of this Checklist's child Tasks
Issue Issue categorization of this Checklist
Group Group categorization of this Checklist
Start Date Start date of this Checklist
Due Date Date when this Checklist is due

Tasks panel

Use the Tasks panel to view the details on the Tasks in this Checklist. You can use this panel to perform actions on Tasks individually or as a group.

Note On a Checklist with no Tasks, use the Add Tasks link at the bottom of this panel to directly launch the Add Tasks Checklist action.

This panel displays the following information for each Task:

Description

Task and Description Displays the name of the Task, an icon representing the Task status, and the Task description. Click the Task name to open the Task display. This will replace the current Checklist work object display.
Owner Displays the name of the Task owner.
Start Date Displays the start date of the Task.
Due Date Displays the date when the Task is due. This field displays in bold red for overdue Tasks.
% Complete Displays the completion percentage of the Task.
Action Provides the Actions menu containing appropriate actions for the task. This includes the following:

Start TaskDenote you've started working on this Task.
CompleteMark this Task as complete.
WithdrawWithdraw this Task.

Performing actions on multiple Tasks

Use the Actions for Selected Tasks menu (located in the top right corner of the Tasks panel) to perform actions on multiple Tasks. The system enables this menu when at least one Task is selected. To select a Task, enable the check box in the Task's row. To select all Tasks at once, enable the check box in the header row.

The following actions are available:

Start Task Mark all selected Tasks as started.
Reopen Reopen all selected Tasks that are complete.
Complete Mark all selected Tasks as complete.
Update Perform bulk updates on selected Tasks. The system displays the Update Checklist Tasks modal dialog with the following fields:

Description

Start DateSpecify the start date to set on all selected Tasks. Use the Remove all start dates from selected tasks link to clear start dates from all selected Tasks. After clicking this link, use the Add start dates to selected tasks link to revert back to setting a common start date for all selected Tasks.
Due DateSpecify the due date to set on all selected Tasks. Use the Remove all due dates from selected tasks link to clear due dates from all selected Tasks. After clicking this link, use the Add due dates to selected tasks link to revert back to setting a common due date for all selected Tasks.
OwnerAutocomplete Specify the user to set as Task owner on all selected Tasks. Use the Remove all Owners from selected tasks link to clear owners from all selected Tasks. After clicking this link, use the Add Owners to selected tasks link to revert back to setting a common Owner for all selected Tasks.
Estimated Effort, Actual Effort, Remaining EffortEnter values for the estimated, remaining, and actual effort (in hours) to set on all selected Tasks. Use the Remove all effort from selected tasks link to clear all three effort values from all selected Tasks. After clicking this link, use the Add effort for selected tasks link to revert back to setting common values for the three effort fields for all selected Tasks.
The system displays the Tasks you've selected with pertinent information at the bottom of this dialog. After specifying the desired values, click Submit to perform the bulk update or click Cancel to return back to the Tasks panel without performing the update.
Withdraw Withdraw all selected Tasks.

Links panel

The links panel contains various useful links, including the following:

Link

Description

Help View the help topic for Checklists.
History View a historical record of the various actions that have been performed on this Checklist.
Follow Mark this Checklist as an item to follow. Followed items are displayed in the Following list in the Case Manager portal.
Unfollow Remove this Checklist from the list of followed items.
Tags Manage the tags associated with this Checklist. Managers can directly search for work objects by tags in the Case Manager portal by selecting the Matching Tags link in the search results pane.
Start Checklist Denote you've started working on this Checklist.
Reopen Re-open a completed or withdrawn Checklist.
