An assignment may remain open for hours, days, or longer. In unusual circumstances, Process Commander may find that the work object or the flow rule referenced in an open assignment is no longer available. Such assignments are called problem assignments.

When either of these conditions is detected, Process Commander changes the assignment status (the Assign-.pyAssignmentStatus property) of such problem assignments to Error.

Such assignments are also called assignments in error. They require review and analysis.
