Back Forward Work party role

The work party role associated with each work party identifies why a party is present, and may determine which properties are defined for that party.

For example, a customer complaint work object may include party roles for a customer, the customer's lawyer, a customer service representative, a supervisor, and other people or companies involved in the situation.

Generally, the role indicates the nature of each party's participation. However, in some applications, some work parties are categorized simply as "interested parties". This typically means only that they can be kept informed through correspondence as the work object progresses to completion.

Work party roles are defined through the Rule-Obj-WorkParties rule type, and may draw data from the Data-Party-Com, Data-Party-Person, Data-Party-Gov, or other classes derived from the Data-Party class.

NoteDon't confuse work party roles with access roles, which define user capabilities.
