Create a privilege rule by selecting Privilege from the Security category.

The key to a privilege has two parts — a class name and a privilege name:

Enter the name of the class for which you're creating this rule.

Privilege Name

Give this privilege a name. Begin the name with a letter and use only alphanumeric, ampersand, and dash characters.

Tip As a best practice, start the name with a capital letter.

When searching for privilege rules, the system

Filters candidate rules based on a requestor's RuleSet list of RuleSets and versions.
Searches through ancestor classes in the class hierarchy for candidates when no matching rule is found in the starting class.

Circumstances and time-based qualifications are not available for privilege rules.
