Purpose

A scorecard rule creates segmentation based on one or more conditions and a combining method. The output of this rule is a score and a segment defined by the results.

These rules represent third party models in PRPC as a result of running the PMML import wizard. The score based segmentation can be mapped to results by defining cutoff values used to map a given score range to a result. For example: you can create a scorecard rule to calculate customer segmentation based on age and income and then map particular score rages to defined results.

Scorecard rules are available through the Decision Strategy Manager. For more information about this rule, see the PDN article PDN About the Decision Strategy Manager.

Where referenced

A decision shape Decisionin a flow rule can reference a scorecard rule by selecting a scorecard model type.

In expressions, you can obtain the segments calculated by the rule by using the Lib(Pega- DecisionEngine:Scorecard).ObtainValue(this, myStepPage, "scorecardrulename") syntax.

Access

Use the Application Explorer to access scorecard rules that apply to the work types in your application. Use the Rules Explorer to list all the scorecard rules available to you.
