Create a property alias rule by selecting Property Alias from the Data Model category.

A property alias rule has two key parts:

Field	Description
Applies To	Select a class in which you're creating this property alias rule. Choose the class in which the property being aliased belongs, or (in unusual situations) a subclass of that class. The property may be in any RuleSet that you (and the intended users of the list view reports) have access to. The classes you can enter here may depend on the RuleSet you select. On the Restrictions tab of the Class form, a class rule may limit rules applying to that class to belong to one of an explicit list of RuleSets.
Alias Name	Enter a name that starts with a letter and includes only alphanumeric and dash characters.

Rule resolution

When searching for property alias rules, the system:

• Filters candidate rules based on a requestor's RuleSet list of RuleSets and versions
• Searches through ancestor classes in the class hierarchy for candidates when no matching rule is found in the starting class

Time-qualified and circumstance-qualified rule resolution features are not available for property alias rules.
