Add a child case type to your application to extend your case type hierarchy. You can create a new child case type or define a parent-child relationship using existing case types.
Open the Case Type Explorer.
Hover over a parent case type name and click .
Select Add a child case type.
Specify how the child case type is added to your application.
To create a new child case type:
Click New case type.
Click Next.
Click Finish.
To use an existing case type:
Click Existing case type.
Select a case type name from the list.
Caution: Review your case-type dependencies before selecting a top-level case type from the list. Demoting top-level case types can significantly alter your case instantiation process and case-type dependencies.
Click Submit.
After you add a child case type, you can review your updated parent-child relationships in the Case Type Explorer.
