Naming your case type

Case type names are used to label cases associated with your case type. They appear in dashboards, worklists, and forms.

  1. In the Case type name field, enter a unique name that is meaningful to application users.

You can include spaces and special characters in the name.

  2. Optional: Populate the Description field with more detailed information, such as the purpose of this case type and the specific work that is accomplished when individual cases are resolved.

The description that you provide is copied to the description of the underlying case type rule.

  3. Optional: Change the default values in the Advanced settings section to configure rule resolution for this case type.
