Use the Implementation tab to get a comprehensive view of the relationship between a specification and the rules that implement it. Each associated item, or implementation, is a row in a table. You can link specifications to the following implementation types:
The following buttons are available on this tab:
- Add/Edit links - Click to launch a modal that displays all Activities linked to this specification.
Add new links by adding a new row to the grid and specifying an Applies To class and Implementation Activity name.
- Delete existing links by removing rows from the grid.
Link only activities with the Allow direct invocation from the client or a service check box selected to a specification. This option is found on the Security tab of the Activity form.
- Delete all links - Click to delete all links for this specification.
- Use this button with caution. It removes all links from the specification to an implementation (not just activities). While you can easily re-add links to activities using the Specification form, you must re-add links to other rule types using the appropriate rule form.
Guidance on using values in the Implementations tab:
- All rules that work to fulfill or implement the specification display in a table format (columns include rule name, description, class, and ruleset version).
- Click on a rule name or ruleset name to open it in the work area of the Designer Studio.
- To remove the link between the implementation and this specification, but not the, remove a row from the table and click OK.
- When the specification type is set to
Correspondence
or Report
, you can define new implementations by adding a row to the grid; specify the name of a Correspondence rule or Report Definition, respectively.
- To get access to full options (like deleting all links or adding new ones), refer to the Implementations tab of the specification rule itself.
