Replacing the source of a data view

The data view's source specifies the system of record for the data. Replace the source for a data view, for example, when the source is simulated and you are moving to production, or when a system that you are integrating with is retired or replaced.

You can replace both simulated and actual sources.

1. In App Studio click Data.
2. Select one of the following choices:
   • To replace a local source with a REST source, click the data type you want to update, and then click Data views.
   • To replace a simulated source and connect your data type to a system of record, click Fix now in the row of the data type.
3. In the row of the data view with the source that you want to replace, click More > Replace source.
4. In the Connect to system of record screen, configure the connection to the system of record. For more information, see Adding a data type by using a REST connection and Adding a data type that uses local data storage.
5. Click Next.
6. Map the REST response and request fields to fields in the data view. For more information, see Mapping fields.
7. Click Next.
8. Configure environment settings. For more information, see Configuring connection details for environments
9. Click Submit.
