Passbook Treatments
Completing the Create or Save As form

A Passbook treatment has four key parts:

Field	Description
Passbook Name	Enter a unique name for the Passbook treatment in the short description field. Tab or click the mouse pointer outside the field to populate the value for this key in the Identifier field.
Passbook Style	The style determines the overall visual appearance of the pass and impacts the placement of different fields on the pass. Currently, the system supports the following styles: Coupon - Select this style for coupons, discounts, and special offers Generic - Select this style for all other uses
Issue	Select the Issue for storing the Passbook treatment. Leave this value unselected to create the treatment at the Top level.
Group	Select the Group for storing the Passbook treatment. Leave this value unselected to create the treatment at the Issue level.

Notes on Issue and Group usage

• In the Create form, the application pre-populates Issue and Group values using the corresponding values of the Offer rule from where you initiated Passbook Treatment creation. Similarly, the Passbook Style field is also pre-populated based using the selection on the initiating Offer shape.
• In the Save As form, the application pre-populates Issue and Group values based on the corresponding values for the original Passbook treatment. Similarly, the Passbook Style is also pre-populated. This field cannot be changed when doing a Save As.
• Issue and Group serve as logical abstractions for the class where the Passbook treatment is stored. See Using Issues and Groups to store rules.

Rule resolution

Full rule resolution applies to Passbook treatments. When searching for Passbook treatments, the system:

• Filters candidate rules based on a requestor's RuleSet list of RuleSets and versions
• Searches through ancestor classes in the class hierarchy for candidates when no matching rule is found in the starting class
• Finds circumstance-qualified rules that override base rules
• Finds time-qualified rules that override base rules
