Header Fields

Use this section to add fields to display in the pass header. You can configure a maximum of three fields for the header. Header fields are the only fields that are visible when the pass is stacked with other passes in the Passbook app. Use these fields sparingly to show only the most vital pass information.

See Configuring pass fields for details on configuration options for pass fields.

Use the Primary tab to configure the primary field for the pass. This field typically contains the most important pass information and displays prominently on the pass.

See Configuring pass fields for details on configuration options for pass fields.

Use the Secondary tab to configure the secondary fields for the pass. You can configure a maximum of four secondary fields. Secondary fields are less prominent than the primary field and typically display in a smaller font size. Specify secondary fields in the order of their importance.

See Configuring pass fields for details on configuration options for pass fields.

You can also choose to specify a user-friendly text message that will display with the barcode. This is particularly useful if the pass can be used at places where a barcode scanner might not be available.

Finally, some barcode scanners require the data encapsulated in the barcode to be encoded. You can specify the encoding to use or use the default encoding (ISO 8859-1).

Use back fields to specify fields that are too long for the front of the pass (e.g. terms and conditions) or any other additional information that may be helpful for pass holders.
