Process Commander has three types of categories.
Rule types and data forms are organized into categories as a learning aid. This grouping used in the Application Explorer, Used by App Explorer and Rules by Type Explorer.
For example, the Decision category includes rule types that test values, including:
plus others. See Process category, Technical category.
Click the plus sign next to a category in the tree control to access the rule types. One type (marked with a check mark) appears first; that type is most frequently used. Other types appear in alphabetical order.
Use the Application Viewer tool to see a heat map of the rule types in your application, summarized by category.
You can define categories for your own application classes on the Advanced tab of the Class form.
The category of an attachment to a work object identifies the business object or purpose of the attachment, such as:
Using Attachment Category rules, you can set up the attachment categories appropriate to your application's business domain.
Optionally, you can associate a report category with
a list view or summary view report. Standard field value rules
are defined for several categories (such as
WorkMonitoring
and Assignment
) but
you can define additional report categories.
