Portal
The PRPC portals provide intuitive, results-focused workspaces that support the following user communities:
- For developers, PRPC provides the Designer Studio (in versions before V6.1, developers used the Developer Portal). This portal provides an integrated work, test, and development environment that provides quick access to dozens of tools, wizards, reports, and other capabilities. Customization of the studio is typically not necessary.
- For business analysts, PRPC provides the Business Analyst portal. This portal provides an integrated environment that provides quick access to wizards, tools, reports, and other capabilities to support business analysts in designing applications and assessing the development of those applications. Customization of the Business Analyst portal is typically not necessary.
- Introduced in V6.2, the Case Manager portal supports users who manage cases and their related sub-cases and tasks across multiple channels, lines of business, departments, and systems. Users can create, view, and work on cases and assignments. The portal is organized into four tabs that:
– Provides work statistics and data for work groups, individual operators, all workbaskets in an application, and individual workbaskets. Users can also reassign work to operators in a work group or to workbaskets.
– Provides information about work items (cases) associated with case types defined in the Case Designer landing page tab.
– Lets users create and monitor business events, and view goals and deadlines in an assignment SLA-based calendar.
– Generate and display work management reports based on report definitions, and display List View and Summary View reports.
- Introduced in V6.2 SP2, the Case Worker portal provides users with a standard interface for creating, viewing, and working on their own cases and assignments. Users cannot view or manage the work of other operators or workbaskets, generate or display reports, create business events, or monitor goals and deadlines in a calendar.
- Introduced in V6.2SP2, portals of the Mobile type provide users with an interface for creating, viewing, and working on cases and assignments from a mobile device. Navigation rules are defined on the Skins tab. The Mobile portal type is only available when the Role field is set to User.
Information in the user's access group, referencing a portal rule (Rule-Portal rule type), governs the appearance and functions of the portal or portals available to that user.
