Pega Mobile Client system info settings

The case worker portal for a created mobile app contains useful system information and settings that a developer can use to debug their mobile app. The system info pages are only available when using the Pega Mobile Client. They are available in the left navigation page under the Settings menu item.

When online, developers can:

• View system details (the Pega 7 version and the Pega Mobile Client version).
• Simulate the offline capability in the app.
• Change the log level of their Pega Mobile Client app.
• View Pega Mobile Client logs inline with the ability to email them to another user (iOS).
• Request technical support by sending a description of the issue.

When offline, developers can also:

• View and clear the contents of the queue (local storage).
• View and clear the contents of the actions queue (sync queue).

Note: The system info pages are only exposed when using the case worker portal or the user portal. You need to have the UI-Kit-7:03-01-01 ruleset in your application.

Enabling system info pages in existing apps

To enable system info pages for an already existing Pega Mobile Client app you do not need to copy the UI-Kit-7:03-01-01 ruleset. Perform the following steps instead:

1. Copy the pyMobileSettings nav rule from UI-Kit-7:03-01-01 into your application ruleset.
2. Copy the harnesses and sections that are used to provide the system info settings, into your application ruleset. Most of the rules start with pySettings under Data-Portal.
