Use the Send Generic shape to configure a generic treatment for delivery. This shape provides a hook to process Offers via outbound delivery mechanisms, other than the ones that the system currently provides (Email/SMS/Passbook). You can use this shape to output relevant data to an output file or database table for processing by legacy systems.

The following general configuration options are present on this shape:

Delivery Options

Choose the output options for this shape. Enable one or more of the following output options:

• Write To File - Select this option to output a record (per customer) to an output file. For this option, you must also specify a file Output Template in the Select Template field. The selected file template governs the output content and the path/name of the output file.
• Write To DB - Select this option to output a record (per customer) to a database table. For this option, you must also specify a database Output Template in the Select Template field. The selected database template governs the output content and the output database table.

Wait After Sending

You can determine whether the system should wait after processing this shape. To enable a wait period on this shape, check the Wait check box and specify the desired values for the wait period. See Specifying a wait period.

Field Marketing Options

This feature is only available if your application includes Field Marketing.

Enable the Display in Campaigns for review by field marketers check box to display this shape to Field Marketers when they are reviewing the list of Engagement Steps on their Field Marketing Campaigns. Use the Description field to specify a description for this shape and the functionality it performs.

Completing the Content Details section

Use the Content Details section to upload content that describes this shape and its outcome. If this shape is configured to display in Field Marketing Campaigns, then Field Marketers will be able to view the uploaded content when they review this shape in their Campaigns.

You can upload and associate both files and links to this shape.

• File - To upload a file, select the Add File option and use the Browse... button to locate and select the desired file.
• Link - To add a link, select the Add Link option and enter the desired link in the input field.

For both files and links, use the Description field to describe the uploaded content.

As files and links are added, they are displayed in the content grid. This grid contains the following columns:

Column	Description
Name	URL of the link or the name of the uploaded file. Also, displays an icon to denote whether the uploaded content is a file or a link .
Description	Description for the uploaded content. For longer descriptions, the tooltip contains the entire description.
(Delete?)	Contains the icon. Use this icon to delete the uploaded content.
