Use the Send Passbook shape to configure a Passbook treatment for delivery.
The following general configuration options are present on this shape:
Field |
Description |
| Passbook Style | Select the style of the Passbook treatment to be sent. |
| Passbook Treatment |
|
| Key Code | Enter a Marketing code to identify the treatment. You can output this value in the sent email and/or pass; and can use it to track the performance of different treatments. If you specified a key code value on the selected Passbook treatment, the system will auto-populate this field with that value. |

Delivery Options
Specify the Email Subject for the email to be delivered (containing the attached pass). See Configuring the subject of an email.
On Update
Use the options in this section to configure the desired behavior for pass updates. When the same Passbook treatment is used in multiple shapes in the same offer flow, the first delivery is treated as a new pass. Subsequent deliveries (shapes) are treated as updates to the existing pass. In addition, if the Keep updating the pass... option is enabled on the Passbook treatment's Advanced section and the pass has been previously sent to the customer (potentially via a different Offer or Campaign), even the first Send Passbook shape will result in a pass update scenario.
You can enable none/one/both of the following options:
Push Notification - Select this option to utilize the Apple Push Notification service (APNs) to signal the device that an update is available for the pass. The device will then make a web service call to get the latest pass.Email Notification - Select this option to send the updated pass as an attachment to the email (specified in the Email Treatment field).
If you leave both options unselected, the system will generate and store the updated pass internally. This updated pass will be available to pass holders (customers) if/when they attempt to manually update the pass.
Wait After Sending
You can determine whether the system should wait after processing this shape. To enable a wait period on this shape, check the Wait check box and specify the desired values for the wait period. See Specifying a wait period.
As a best practice, you should enable a wait period when you expect customers to respond to this email and/or pass (such as accept or decline this Offer).
Use the Advanced section to optionally configure settings for the Outbound Email account to use for delivering the email message (containing the new or updated pass).
Use Default Email Account - Select this option to use the Default Outbound Email account.Specify Email Account - Select this option to specify the Outbound Email account to use. Specify the desired account in the Account field.Use Email Account Settings - Select this option to use the sender’s name (from) and reply-to address (for the email being sent) from the values specified on the Email account.Use Operator Settings - Select this option to use the name and email address of the operator that initiates this email (e.g. by launching a Campaign that sends it) as the sender’s name (from) and reply-to address on the email being sent.Override Account Settings - Select this option to specify the sender’s name (from) and reply-to address for the email being sent. Specify these values in the From and Reply To fields.Use the Test Message section to test the look and feel of the Passbook and Email treatments upon delivery. Open the received email on an iOS device (with the Passbook app) and click the attached pass to preview it with the Passbook app.
The configuration options on this section are similar to those on the Test Message section for the Send Email shape. See the common help for these sections: Completing and using the Test Message tab
After configuring this section, you can also directly initiate the test via the Test this Passbook right-click menu option on the shape.
