Editing Push Notification shapes

Use the Push Notification shape to configure push notification messages for delivery to configured apps on registered (customer) devices.
The following general configuration options are present on this shape:

Description |
| Message | Enter the message to push to the customer’s registered device(s). This message can be static text or an expression. |
| Play Sound? | Enable this option to associate sound with the notification message. When enabled, the message payload references the default sound. When the message is received by the device, the device-specific default sound for notifications (if enabled) is played. |
| Key Code | Enter a Marketing code to identify the shape. You can pass this value to the device along with the notification message (as an additional value). |
Application Configuration
Choose between the following options for specifying the application to notify:
Default Application - Select this option to push the notification message to the system-wide default application (as configured by the marketing application administrator).Other Application - Select this option to specify the application to notify. Additionally, select the desired application.Wait After Sending
You can determine whether the system should wait after processing this shape. To enable a wait period on this shape, check the Wait check box and specify the desired values for the wait period. See Specifying a wait period.
As a best practice, you should enable a wait period when you expect customers to respond to this email and/or pass (such as accept or decline this Offer).
Use the Advanced section to configure advanced settings for the push notification.
Send Additional Values?
Enable this setting to include other information (as name-value pairs) as part of the notification message payload. Specify the desired values in the Additional Values grid. Use the

icons to add/remove values to/from the grid.
For each additional value, specify the following:

| Name | Enter a (static text) name for the additional field. |
| Value | Enter a value for the additional field. The value can be static text or an expression. |
Different platforms place different restrictions on the size of the overall message payload. You should be aware of this limitation when specifying additional values. A notification message that ends up being larger than the allowed payload size can/will not be delivered.
Set Badge?
Enable this setting to set a numeric value for the notification message. Enter the desired value in the Badge Value field. This value can be a static number or an expression.
This value only has an impact if it's supported by the app platform. For example, in iOS, the badge value is shown as a number on the app's icon.
