Complete the Treatment tab to define the text, formatting, property values, included correspondence fragments, and appearance of the Email treatment.
Use the Subject field to specify the subject for the Email treatment. See Configuring the subject of an email.
Use the Key Code field to specify the marketing key code for the Email treatment. You can output this value in the delivered email and/or use it internally to track the performance of different treatments.
Enable the Track Email Open Rate check box to capture impressions for this Email treatment in Interaction History. When enabled, an impression will be captured each time an Email (corresponding to this treatment) is opened.
Use the editor to create the desired email content. You can use one of the following edit modes:
You can create and edit emails using preconfigured email templates, and only change specific text and images, as defined in the template. This ensures that all client emails follow your corporate style and layout standards. Templated Email is the default edit mode for new Email treatments.

Switching email modes for an existing email treatment removes any content you previously defined for that treatment.
Click a section of the template to edit the content in the text editor on the right side of the screen.
By default, the text editor works in rich text mode. Click
The Simple Rich Text Editor and Source Only edit modes are still available. They are automatically used for email treatments created prior to Pega Marketing 7.31.
If you want to modify existing treatments to use the new Templated Email mode, make sure to back up their contents first. Switching email modes for an existing email treatment removes any content you previously defined for that treatment.
You can embed response links into an Email treatment via the icon. Click the icon to launch a pop-up window to configure the link. The Function value determines the type of response link. Choose from the following options:

Accept Offer | Select this option to embed a link for the customer to accept the Offer. You must select whether to direct the customer to a response screen or to an external URL. |
Decline Offer | Select this option to embed a link for the customer to decline the Offer. You must select whether to direct the customer to a response screen or to an external URL. |
Open Internal Page | Select this option to embed a link to launch an internal page. You must specify the name of the response screen (internal page). |
Open External URL | Select this option to embed a link to launch an external URL. You must specify the external URL to open. |
Redirecting to a Response Screen
This option is available for the Accept Offer, Decline Offer, and Open Internal Page links. You can configure a response screen (internal PRPC page – typically represented by a Rule-HTML-Section rule) for the system to display when a customer clicks on the response link in the delivered Offer email.
If the value for the response screen is not set, the system will use the out-of-the-box default response screen (PegaMKT-Work-Offer.DefaultEmailResponse). You can reference both Customer and Offer Data when building/configuring a custom response screen.
Response Screens must be created in the PegaMKT-Work-Offer class.
Redirecting to an External URL
This option is available for the Accept Offer, Decline Offer, and Open External URL links. You can further choose whether the system should include relevant Offer Data while re-directing to the external URL. If selected, the system passes the following values as URL parameters to the external URL:
