Create a skin rule by selecting Skin from the User Interface category.

A skin rule has a single key part:

Skin Name	Enter a name that starts with a letter and uses only letters, digits, and the dash character.

Auto Generated

Determines if the new skin is auto-generated or non auto-generated. Auto-generated skins are recommended. This checkbox is selected by default, indicating that an auto-generated skin is created. This enables you to use the Skin rule form to configure elements in the skin. If you clear this checkbox, creating a non auto-generated skin, then you must provide a .css text file for each style sheet indicated on the Skin rule CSS tab: Work, Work Legacy and Report.

Rule resolution

When searching for a skin rule, the system

• Filters candidate rules based on a requestor's RuleSet list of RuleSets and versions
• Finds circumstance-qualified rules that override base rules

The class hierarchy is not relevant to rule resolution for skin rules. Time-qualified circumstances are not supported for skin rules.
