Rule types and data classes are organized into categories as a learning and navigation aid.

Rule types in the Reports category define reports that support the Monitor Activity workspace, the Explorer tools, and other facilities. This category includes two rule types — list view rules and summary view rules.

Any developer can create and maintain these two rule types. Managers who create reports using the Report Wizard also indirectly create rules of these types.
